Online Services

GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. Once you have signed up, you will be able to:

  • book or cancel appointments online
  • renew or order repeat prescriptions online
  • view parts of your GP record, including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results

You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time. More information including “how to” leaflets and videos of patients and why they are using GP online services are available at www.nhs.uk/gponlineservices

How to sign-up

For more information, please contact reception or next time you visit the surgery, bring with you a piece of photo ID (passport, driving licence) and something with your address on like a bank statement but not a gas or electric bill. If you don’t have these, please talk to us and we will help you sign-up

If you wish to use online services you must come into the surgery and complete a registration form with signed consent and provide a form of photo ID.

Alternatively, you can print the form below yourself and hand it in at reception with your ID.

Extended Access

Extra evening and weekend appointments available in local area

 

You can now book routine GP and Nurse appointments in the evening, at weekends and over bank holidays in your local area.

Pre-bookable appointments are available Monday-Friday, 6.30pm-8pm, plus weekends and bank holidays and you can be seen by a GP, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant.

To book your appointment, contact the surgery during normal opening hours. Please be aware that the appointment may take place at another GP Practice in the area.

If you need urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, you should continue to call NHS 111.

We are extremely pleased to announce that the Practice has been rated 'Outstanding' in our CQC inspection.

We are incredibly proud of all the Staff and our Patient Participation Group for their contribution to the Practice.

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

Hickings Lane Medical Centre has automatic front entrance doors and is designed to allow access for wheelchairs into all the clinical rooms.
